About Disjunct Dictionary

Disjunct Dictionary was started in 2020 by Peter Woolf during the COVID19 pandemic. When developing optimized screening protocols via Origami Assays , I was frustrated by the lack of availalbe disjunct matrix designs avaialble online. While the software to search for these designs is not difficult to write, the search itself is NP-hard, so each design improvment captures significant computation for future uses.

The goal of Disjunct Dictionary is to capture these designs for both group testing, and also for other fields that may benefit from optimal or near optimal disjunct matricies.

These designs are made freely avaialble to anyone to use and build from. If you are interested in the whole dataset, you can download it here as a flat text file.
